Ours is a wedding ministry. We provide the legal and spiritual means by which two people become one in the eyes of God and men. We are licensed in the State of Hawaii to perform marriage ceremonies (License #04-283).
Our minister is James L. Wing. He has lived in the Hawaiian Islands for the last 15 years. Some might describe him as Protestant or evangelical, but he prefers to be described as simply a follower of Jesus Christ. He has a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies and has also received the Medal of St. Luke the Physician. He performs a simple, traditional ceremony.
Our collective goal is to join a man and a woman together in holy matrimony with Hawaii as a backdrop. We feel richly blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and desire to share this place with two people that love has brought together on one of the most important days of their lives.
Generally we take part in small ceremonies. The people for whom we perform the marriage ceremony often get married on the beach, by a waterfall, in the rain forest, on high coastal cliffs, in small local churches or even underwater on SCUBA!

Locations are limited only by your imagination. There seem to be almost innumerable, beautiful, and unique places on the Big Island of Hawaii to get married. If you are not familiar with our island, we would be happy to discuss possible places with you prior to your arrival.
The question we most often get is: Do I (We) have to be Christian for you to perform the marriage ceremony for us? The answer is no. We recognize that not all people believe as we do. We feel compelled only to ask God’s blessing upon your union, in the name of Jesus Christ, but beyond that, what you say to one another, beyond our brief and simple content is up to you as long as it does not blaspheme God the Father, God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit. We respectfully reserve a part of the ceremony for couples to personalize by exchanging any vows they might want to make to one another. This part can be as long or short as you wish.
This special day is about you, not us. James is soft spoken. He will perform the ceremony and blend into the background. Your love for one another and the beauty of the island will speak for itself. We won’t blow into any shells, dress up in strange clothing, or bring any tropical birds. We believe our part should not be theatrical in any way. We view your union as a holy and joyous one.
